Service Protections Program Terms
Last updated October 9, 2026
These Program Terms describe the service protections Vert Energy Group, Inc. ("Vert") offers to customers who sign a Vert Washington Clean Buildings Performance Standard (CBPS) service agreement. These protections are separate from any promotion Vert runs. Each protection applies only as stated in the customer's signed service agreement. If these Program Terms and a signed service agreement conflict, the signed service agreement controls.
1. 60 days or money back
If Vert does not complete the scoped compliance report within 60 days of the agreed start under the service agreement, the customer receives a money-back refund on that covered fee for the incomplete scoped work.
2. Unlimited revisions
Vert handles revisions and resubmissions for the agreed filing scope under the service agreement.
3. Penalty protection under agreement
If Vert misses a filing deadline or drops a covered property from the list under Vert's control, Vert covers the resulting Washington CBPS penalty for that building under the service agreement, as stated in the agreement.
4. Incentive-Backed protection
Incentive-Backed protection applies only to a signed Vert service agreement that states it includes Incentive-Backed protection (a "qualifying agreement"). Under a qualifying agreement, if Vert prepares and submits a Washington clean buildings incentive application for a covered building and the program administrator denies that application because of an error or omission in Vert's work, the customer may receive a refund of 50% of the covered Vert fee. The "covered Vert fee" is the fee the customer paid Vert under the qualifying agreement for that building.
The refund applies only if all of these conditions are met:
- the denial was caused by Vert's work, not by the building, the customer, a third party, or the program;
- the incentive program had funds available for the application when Vert submitted it; and
- the customer delivered every document and piece of information Vert requested for the application within 10 days of Vert's written request.
No refund is owed for a reduced award, or for a denial caused by program funds being fully reserved or exhausted, program rule changes, the building not qualifying or not meeting a performance requirement, or late, incomplete, or inaccurate information from the customer or a third party.
Incentive-Backed protection is not a promise that any incentive, including Early Adopter, Tier 2, or enhanced incentives, will be approved, will be paid in any amount, or will cover any part of Vert's fees. Incentive awards are decided by the program administrator and are never guaranteed. Vert may stop offering Incentive-Backed protection on new agreements at any time, including when program funds appear fully reserved. That does not change qualifying agreements already signed.
To request a refund, email support@vertenergygroup.com with the denial notice and the building address.
